NDB Situation Report 2026: The Security Situation in Switzerland Is Becoming More Complex
In its 2026 Security Report, the Federal Intelligence Service (FIS) paints a clear picture: Switzerland’s security situation has continued to deteriorate. The report states that “the all-clear has not been given” and shows that threats today are more diverse, interconnected, and less predictable.

Cyberattacks, espionage, disinformation, and influence operations continue to increase. The FIS views Russia and China in particular as key actors that could also affect Swiss companies, government agencies, and critical infrastructure.
