2026 G7 Summit: Our Security Recommendations Report for Geneva-Based Businesses

From June 15 to 17, 2026, the G7 Summit will take place in the neighboring region of Savoie, France. Given the geographical proximity and the international significance of this event, many businesses, banks, and sensitive institutions in the Canton of Geneva are considering what security measures to put in place.
Cantonal and federal authorities, as well as the Swiss Armed Forces, are already preparing a comprehensive security plan. Many business leaders in Geneva still remember the 2003 G8 Summit and the operational challenges it presented. Drawing on these experiences, Swiss authorities have developed structured procedures to ensure that the upcoming period is managed in a professional and controlled manner.
Our Department of Operations and Security has analyzed the situation and prepared a report with preventive recommendations. The goal is not to cause alarm. Rather, we want to enable affected companies to prepare for the coming weeks with the necessary foresight. The protection of employees, customers, and property is our top priority.
